Pinones is a unique recreation area featuring a boardwalk along the shoreline and an elevated boardwalk through the mangroves. The beaches are deserted during the week and packed on the weekends. There is one restaurant after another serving up great typical food along PR 187. From San Juan head east on 26 towards Isla Verde. Take PR 187 East and cross the bridge over Boca de Cangrejos and you will be entering Pinones.
