Lebanon, TN (11-21-2011)....More than 200 swimmers from Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee competed last Saturday (Nov 19) at the 8th annual MTSC High School Swimming Invitational.  Bob Jones High School from Madison, Alabama captured the combined girls and boys team title scoring 687 points, followed by Brentwood Academy with 269.5 points and Hendersonville High School with 254.5 points.  The girls team title was won by Bob Jones, followed by Hendersonville and Brentwood Academy.  The boys team title was won by Bob Jones, followed by Mt. Juliet and Brentwood Academy.  The lone meet record broken this year was by Mt. Juliet's Austin Chaplin in the boys 50 freestyle.  Chaplin's time of 22.75 eclipsed the previous record of Bob Jones's Scott Von Jouanne (22.79) in 2009.
 
Three MTSC swimmers won individual events!  Austin Cook (Mt. Juliet) won the 100 fly, Kait Kieffer (Wilson Central) won the 100 free and Mallory Herring (Home School Robertson County) won the 100 breaststroke.  MTSC swimmers placing in the top 8 included:  Maddy Lett/Friendship Christian (3rd-200 free), Kylie Gallerani/Hendersonville (5th-500 free, 6th-200 free), Anna Melvin/Wilson Central (7th-200 free), Miranda Royse/Wilson Central (7th-200 IM), Carlie Campbell/JPII (8th-200 IM), Jake Bartow/Wilson Central (5th-200 IM, 7th-100 free), Sam Trenner/Beech (7th-200 IM), Kait Kieffer/Wilson Central (1st-100 free, 2nd-50 free), Hannah Anderson/Merrol Hyde (4th-50 free, 4th-500 free), Mallory Herring/Home School Robertson County (1st-100 breast, 6th-50 free), Blake Parsons/Wilson Central (3rd-50 free, 4th-100 free), Jacqueline Stone/Beech (8th-100 fly), Austin Cook/Mt. Juliet (1st-100 fly, 3rd 500 free), Morgan Tungate/Lebanon (6th-100 free), Phil Leckenby/Wilson Central (4th-100 back, 8th-100 free), Kaylee McGee/Beech (7th-100 back), Dallas Eidson/Portland (8th-100 back) and Jonah Boggess/Hendersonville (8th-100 breast).
